Privacy Policy

San George Company (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the San George mobile application (available on Google Play as com.sangeorge.app) and internal automation tools. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Who This Policy Covers

This policy applies to:

  • San George Android App — the mobile app available on Google Play that gives customers access to sangeorge.com.eg.
  • San George Poster — an internal automation tool used exclusively by San George staff to manage social media and Google Business Profile content.
  • sangeorge.com.eg — our website.

2. Data Collected by the Android App

We do not collect: your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any personal information through the app itself. The app is a WebView wrapper of our website — any data you enter on the website (e.g. creating an account, placing an order) is governed by our website’s terms.

3. Push Notifications

The app requests your permission before sending any push notifications (required on Android 13 and above). You can revoke this permission at any time in your phone’s Settings → Apps → San George → Notifications. Revoking permission automatically makes your device token inactive.

FCM device tokens are stored securely on our WordPress server and are used only to deliver notifications. Tokens are automatically removed when they become invalid (e.g. after the app is uninstalled).

4. Data Collected by San George Poster (Internal Tool)

Through Google OAuth, our internal poster tool accesses:

  • Your Google account email — to verify identity as an authorized San George staff member.
  • Google Business Profile — to post marketing content on our official Google Maps listing.

This tool is used exclusively by San George staff. No customer data is accessed through it.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Google Firebase — push notification delivery. Firebase Privacy Policy.
  • Google APIs — Google Business Profile management (internal tool only). Google Privacy Policy.
  • WooCommerce / WordPress — our website e-commerce platform.

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

6. Data Security

All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). FCM tokens are stored in a secured database accessible only to authorized administrators.

7. Data Retention

FCM tokens are retained for as long as they are valid. Invalid tokens (device uninstalled, permission revoked) are automatically cleaned up when a notification delivery fails.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your FCM token at any time by uninstalling the app or revoking notification permission. For other data requests, contact us at the address below.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
